My Why...

"The stronger the why, the easier the how becomes."  ~Jim Rohn.

Tricia Orscheln has always believed that silver linings can be found in most negative and/or traumatic situations. Her private practice, Tree of Hope Counseling and Wellness Center, is the perfect illustration of this belief.  In 2015, Tricia made a giant leap of faith by leaving her career of twenty years, at a community mental health center and opening a unique counseling practice.  Due to two major losses of loved ones in her life; the loss of her father to suicide and her husband to a traumatic brain injury, she knew firsthand how precious and short life truly can be.  With incredible support, she chose to take action and follow through with her vision and passion to serve people of all ages and to attract a more diverse population of clients.  With over twenty years of mental and behavioral health experience, along with personal experience, she was equipped and eager to share her skill set with anyone interested in the CHANGE process. Fast forward five years after opening the Tree of Hope Counseling and Wellness Center, and another silver lining was on the horizon…

In March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic began affecting people in multi-dimensional ways, such as the deterioration of mental and physical health, job loss or transitions, familial isolation, and the effects of individual stress and immunities; stress response was in overdrive from a counselor’s standpoint.  As the months proceeded and the pandemic and panic increased, Tricia continued to emphasize the importance of self-care practices with each of her clients. She and her clients collaborated creatively about ways they could incorporate healthy activities in their homes to combat the lockdown of places like gyms, spas, malls, pools, libraries, and schools.  She began to brainstorm about a self-care concept allowing someone to engage in a whole-person, total-body, stress reduction activity.  Current research on the pandemic was being blasted all over the news media, stating how COVID-19 was easier to contract if an individual’s immune system was weak or if comorbidities were present.  This solidified Tricia’s decision to create an opportunity that could aid in the reduction of the intense stress caused by the pandemic and daily adjustments affecting every dimension in a person’s life.  She became focused on creating a unique way to mindfully help a person from head to toe!  The vision and concept of Rejuvenation Stations at the Branch was to strengthen one’s immune system and provide a safe place to reset and recharge the whole body.

Tricia purchased a BEMER system for personal use three years ago. This was primarily to help rehabilitate her daughter Avery after her second knee surgery.  Tricia witnessed firsthand the ongoing health benefits that the BEMER system provided her family over the years.  Avery was known at her physical therapy center as, “the fastest ACL, MCL, and meniscus post-surgery rehab recovery on record.”  Avery was able to start and finish a beautiful senior year volleyball season due in part to the astonishing amplified health benefits from the BEMER.  After observing her daughter’s success, Tricia was motivated to find a way to offer the BEMER system to more individuals.  Quite perfectly, she had an open area within the building of her counseling practice that could be transformed into a BEMER wellness room.

“It’s not enough to just hope for a happy and healthy life; it’s a combination of mindset, routines, and habits working together that will get you there.” ~Robyn Conley Downs

The Concept...

Tricia’s idea was that Rejuvenation Stations would allow a person to fully de-stress, while simultaneously gaining health and immunity benefits, through the use of an infrared sauna and a full-body vibration and compression massage chair.  Tricia spent countless hours researching the health benefits of these devices and knew she needed to make this idea a reality for her community, as well as for herself, her family, and her friends.  Instead of the typical eight-minute experience with the BEMER system, Tricia wanted to offer a self-care experience for a longer time frame.  She began communicating her vision and logic with a chiropractor in St. Louis, who also offers BEMER treatments to his patients. Collaboratively, they determined the correct order in which to use the machines for the optimal health benefit.  The experience is designed for a person to manage themselves independently for sixty minutes.  Each station is established in a specific order to work on the inside of the body (detoxing cells, micro-circulating blood flow, and vibrating/compressing muscles) while tapping into the mind and emotional state.  The process is extremely relaxing from head to toe.  Benefits gained from completing the stations are geared to last for days after each experience.  The overall goal is to leave feeling rejuvenated and gratified with the time they set aside for self-care.

Tricia Orscheln truly believes in self-love, self-care, and self-awareness as being key ingredients to a more productive, high-quality lifestyle. The Rejuvenation Stations experience provides multiple physical, mental, and emotional health benefits in just one hour. “Stress is the enemy,” and it weakens our immune system one day at a time. Mindfully and consistently taking time for yourself to unplug from daily stress and reboot your entire system from the inside out, should be the standard! Rejuvenation Stations at the Branch is designed to help you achieve this personal goal over and over again.
